Web Access
The Internet provides access to everything, and you would like to be able to view documents from your Optix repository while on the road or simply for casual use in-house. Optix WEB makes this possible.
Our web solution is a rich, responsive environment consisting of Java Servlets, Java Applets and XML. We have designed Optix WEB to be easily integrated with existing websites and intranets. The most commonly-used features of our full client workstation are duplicated in our web interface, so users have nothing new to learn. Highly intuitive, Optix WEB allows even untutored casual users a secure and easy method to search repositories and view documents – including annotated documents, COLD forms, and workflow items.
While the ability to access documents via web browsers is useful, the web is of very limited use for document input. The web is designed primarily for outward-bound information publication but is much less efficient when accepting uploaded documents. Document input via the web can be useful to the casual user or a user on the road that needs to store and index a few items, but volume production is best handled by dedicated Optix client workstations.
